Kapetanović Amir

Mr. Amir Kapetanović was born in 1976 in Tuzla. In 2002, he graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University in Sarajevo. Mr. Kapetanović started his professional carrier as a legal trainee at the Cantonal Court in Tuzla during the period between 2002 and 2004. During the period between 2004 and 2006, Mr. Kapetanović was employed with the “Rudnici Kreka” d.o.o. (“Kreka Mines” d.o.o.) Company in Tuzla as the Head of Service for Property and Legal Issues. In 2005, Mr. Kapetanović passed the bar exam. During the period between December 2006 and May 2009, Mr. Kapetanović worked as a legal officer at the Municipal Court in Tuzla. In May 2009, Mr. Kapetanović was appointed a judge of the Basic Court in Banja Luka. In May 2014, Mr. Kapetanović was appointed a judge of the District Court in Banja Luka.

At the session held on 14 February 2019, the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a decision appointing Amir Kapetanović as a judge of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Mr. Kapetanović has also been an educator of the Council of Europe with regard to the application of Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms, and in his capacity of an EU expert, he has given many lectures on the related topic at numerous seminars.
