She was born in 1961 in Sarajevo. Judge Marenić graduated from primary and secondary school in Sarajevo and in 1984 graduated from the Sarajevo Law School. Following the internship at the Basic Court I, Sarajevo, Judge passed the Bar Exam in 1990. She carried out the duties of representation in Bosnaputevi Company, Sarajevo, until 1992. In 1996 she was elected President of the Minor Offence Court in Ilidza and held that office until 1998. In 1998 she was elected Judge of the Basic Court in Istocno Sarajevo where she worked until 2004.  After that she worked as a legal officer in the District Court of Istocno Sarajevo, until March 2006 when she transferred to the position of a Legal Adviser and the Head of the Legal Department with the Registry of the Court of BiH.  She was appointed Judge of the Court of BiH on 30 October 2008 and took office on 1 December 2008.
