Delegation of Judicial Office Holders from Austria Visited the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina

A delegation of 46 judicial office holders from Austria comprising court presidents, judges and prosecutors visited today the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

In the introductory part, the guests were welcomed and addressed by the President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Ranko Debevec. President Debevec was pleased with the number of members of the Austrian delegation, and welcomed their decision to visit particularly the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina. After brief referenceed by the Court’s President to the history, jurisdiction and challenges with which the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is faced, the guests were addressed by Mr. Tihomir Lukes, Judge of the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ms. Emira Hodžić, Registrar of the Court of BiH.

 

Judge Tihomir Lukes and Registrar Emira Hodžić presented to their Austrian colleagues the important segments of the history and functioning of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and gladly responded to many questions posed. The guests from Austria expressed their appreciation for the provided comprehensive and useful information, with a hope that the mutual cooperation will be upgraded to a higher level in the future.
