Representatives of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina participated at the 5th Annual Conference of the Judicial Forum of Bosnia and Herzegovina

Judge Hilmo Vučinić, president of the Appellate Division of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina /BiH/, Mr. Tihomir Lukes, judge of the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH, and Ms. Elma Čorbadžić, legal adviser and deputy head of the Legal Department of the Court of BiH, participated at the 5th Annual Conference of the Judicial Forum for Bosnia and Herzegovina held in Mostar on 18-19 November 2021 as representatives of the Court of BiH.

The topics of this year's forum included Harmonization of case law in Bosnia and Herzegovina“– presentation of a Report on the application of standards of protection of rights under Articles II(3)(b) and II(3)(f) of the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Articles 3 and 8 of the European Convention for Human Rights and presentation of an integral “case law data base” of the four highest-level courts in BiH.

 

The goal of the Judicial Forum is to promote application of the European Convention on Human Rights /ECHR/, encourage cooperation between the highest courts in terms of continuous development of rule of law and human rights and offer assistance in the process of integration of BiH in the European Union.

 

The Judicial Forum is part of broader activities of the AIRE Centre of BiH directed at strengthening the implementation of the ECHR and its standards in BiH, funded by the Government of the United Kingdom.
