Branko Perić was born in Čečava near Teslić in 1954. He graduated from the Law School in Belgrade. After 1979, following a traineeship period at the District Court in Doboj, he served as a judge, the President of the Court, prosecutor and attorney in Bosanski Brod. In 1992, he was appointed a prosecutor in Teslić. Since 1996, he served as the editor of several news agencies, and became the first President of the Independent Journalists Association of Republika Srpska, and a vice-president of the Council of the BiH Regulatory Communications Agency. Since 2003, he has been a judge of the Court of BiH and since 2004 the President of the BiH High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council.
