Suspects in Blaženko Rašević et al. ordered in custody

Ruling on the Prosecutor’s Motion to order custody of the suspects in the case of Blaženko Rašević et al., on 14 July 2022 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision granting the Motion, and ordered the suspects Ellvis Kelmendi, Anel Sejfović and Ajlin Ahmić into custody.

According to the Decision, custody may last for a maximum of one month, running from the day of arrest, meaning until 12 August 2022, or pending a new decision of the Court. Custody has been ordered on special custody grounds under Article 132(1), Subparagraphs a), b) and c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CPC BiH), meaning on the grounds of flight risk, concern that they may destroy, conceal, alter or forge evidence and traces important for the criminal proceeding, and interfere with the witnesses, accomplices and accessories, and the concern that they may repeat the offense or complete the attempted offense.

 

Blaženko Rašević et al. are suspected of the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(2) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH) as read with the criminal offenses of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195 CC BiH and Money Laundering under Article 209, Paragraphs 2 and 3, of the CC BiH.
