Judgment / Decision:
On 25 June 2018, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed Indictment charging the accused Elvis Salčinović, Denis Hamidović, Toni Hamidović, Vehbija Salčinović and Kenan Frndić with the criminal offense of Organized Crime in conjunction with the criminal offense of International Human Trafficking, the criminal offense of Forging Documents, the criminal offense of Giving a Bribe, the criminal offense of Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit and the criminal offense of Money Laundering; the accused Luka Hrustić with the criminal offense of Organized Crime in conjunction with the criminal offense of International Human Trafficking, the criminal offense of Giving a Bribe and the criminal offense of Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit; the accused Nedeljko Dakić with the criminal offense of Organized Crime in conjunction with the criminal offense of International Human Trafficking and the criminal offense of Giving a Bribe; and the accused Božidar Trišić with the criminal offense Organized Crime in conjunction with the criminal offense of International Human Trafficking, the criminal offense of Abuse of Office or Official Authority, the criminal offense of Falsifying or Destroying Official Documents and the criminal offense of Accepting a Bribe.
At the plea hearing held on 28 September 2018, in the case of Elvis Salčinović et al., the accused Elvis Salčinović, Denis Hamidović, Toni Hamidović, Vehbija Salčinović, Luka Hrustić, Nedeljko Dakić and Božidar Trišić all pled not guilty, specifically the accused Elvis Salčinović, Denis Hamidović, Toni Hamidović and Vehbija Salčinović to the criminal offense of Organized Crime as read with the criminal offense of International Human Trafficking, the criminal offense of Forging a Document, the criminal offense of Giving Bribes, the criminal offense of Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit and the criminal offense of Money Laundering, the accused Luka Hrustić to the criminal offense of Organized Crime as read with the criminal offense of International Human Trafficking, and the criminal offense of Giving Bribes and the criminal offense of Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit, the accused Nedeljko Dakić to the criminal offense of Organized Crime as read with the criminal offense of International Human Trafficking, and the criminal offense of Giving Bribes, and the accused Božidar Trišić to the criminal offense of Organized Crime as read with the criminal offense of International Human Trafficking, and the criminal offense of Misuse of Office or Official Authority, the criminal offense of Falsifying or Destroying an Official Document and the criminal offense of Taking Bribe. At the same hearing the Court severed the criminal proceedings versus the accused Kenan Frndić because of the guilty plea agreement he had concluded with the Prosecutor's Office. The case will henceforth be conducted under a new number: S1 2 K 030490 18 Ko. The guilty plea agreement, concluded between the accused Kenan Frndić, his defense counsel and the Prosecutor's Office, shall be considered on 9 October 2018 at 11:30 a.m.
On 9 October 2018, the Court considered and dismissed a plea agreement in the case of Kenan Frndić. Accordingly, the case will be forwarded for a main trial.
The main trial was initiated on 7 November 2018. The defense is currently presenting its evidence.
