On 1 November 2018, in the case of Simo Stupar et al., the Court confirmed an indictment charging the accused Simo Stupar, Zoran Stupar, Zoran Tešić and Goran Tešić with the commission of the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)(h), as read with subparagraphs a), e) and k) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH), as read with Article 29 and Article 180(1) of the CC BiH.
At a plea hearing held on 14 December 2018 in Case S1 1 K 030715 17 Kro, the accused Simo Stupar, Zoran Tešić and Goran Tešić pleaded not guilty to the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)(h) as read with Subparagraphs (a), (e) and (k) of the CC BiH, in conjunction with Articles 29 and 180(1) of the CC BiH. The accused Zoran Stupar failed to appear at the hearing.
The main trial was initiated on 18 Martch 2019. The prosecution and the defense are currently presenting their closing arguments.

On 11 May 2021 the Trial Panel of the Court of BiH delivered the Trial Judgment in the case of Simo Stupar et al. finding the accused Simo Stupar guilty of the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h) - persecution, as read with Subparagraph a) - depriving another person of his life, Subparagraph k) - other inhumane acts of a similar character, and Subparagraph i) - enforced disappearance, all in conjunction with Articles 29 and 180(1) CC BiH. The Court sentenced him to 12 (twelve) years of imprisonment.
On 12 November 2021 the Appellate Division Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent out an Appeals Judgment of 27 October 2021 in the case of Simo Stupar, dismissing as ill-founded the appeal filed by defense counsel for the accused Simo Stupar against the acquitting part of the Trial Judgment of the Court of BiH No. S1 1 K 030715 18 Kri dated 11 May 2021, so the Judgment was upheld in that part.
