Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sven Alkalaj visited the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina today. Minister Alkalaj met with the President of the Court, Ms. Meddzida Kreso and several International Judges.

During the discussion he enquired about working conditions and engagement of the International Judges and their mandates. The President of the BiH Court pointed out to the Minister of Foreign Affairs the necessity for extending the mandate of the Judges especially those in the Section I for War Crimes as well as for continued support from the donor countries. It was concluded that the continuation of the work of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina is extremely important especially in the period after the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia has been closed down. During his visit to the Court of BiH, Minister Sven Alkalaj had an opportunity to see the courtrooms of the Court of BiH as well as other premises of this institution.
