Given the increased public interest, and for the purpose of providing accurate, timely and objective information, the Court hereby issues a press release as follows:
Ruling on the custody motion filed by the BiH Prosecutor's Office in the case of Elmedin Karišik et al., having held a hearing, on 12 September 2025 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision remanding the suspects Elmedin Karišik and Radan Dotlić in custody, which according to the Decision may last for a maximum of one month, running from the day of arrest, i.e. from 10 September 2025 to 10 October 2025, or until the Court issues a different decision, on the specific grounds of custody referred to in Article 132(1), Subparagraphs b) and c), of the CPC BiH.
An appeal from the Decision shall not stay its execution.
The suspects are charged with the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250, Paragraphs 2 and 3, of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH), in conjunction with the criminal offenses of Obstruction of Justice under Article 241(2) CC BiH, Aggravated Bodily Injury under Article 172(1) CC FBiH, and Serious Criminal Offences against Public Safety of Persons and Property under Article 328(1) CC FBiH, in conjunction with the criminal offense of Provoking General Danger under Article 323(3), as read with Paragraph 1, of the CC FBiH.
