Nono Sejdić and Dženan Bukva, suspects in the case of Amer Karić et al., remanded in custody

On 21 September 2023 the Court of BiH granted the Prosecutor’s Motion of 21 September 2023 in the case of Amer Karić et al. and issued a Decision remanding the suspects Nono Sejdić and Dženan Bukva, who, will, under the Decision, remain in custody for a maximum of one month, running from the day of their arrest, meaning until 19 October 2023 in relation to the suspect Dženan Bukva, and until 20 October 2023 in relation to the suspect Nono Sejdić, or pending a new decision of the Court, on specific custody grounds referred to in Article 132(1), Subparagraphs a), b) and c), of the CC BiH.

The Decision denied as ill-founded the Prosecutor’s Motion of 21 September 2023 to remand suspects Kenan Bukva, Azra Suljagić and Elvedin Hašimović, who shall be released immediately.

 

An appeal from the Decision shall not stay its execution.

 

The foregoing persons are suspected of the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250, Paragraphs 2 and 3, of the CC BiH, as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) CC BiH.
