The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed, on 4 August 2023, an indictment in the case of Nedžad Ćehić (S1 1 K 045506 23 Kro) charging the accused Nedžad Ćehić that, by the acts described in the indictment, he committed the criminal offense of War Crimes against Prisoners of War under Article 175(1) a), in connection with Article 180(1) of the CC BiH, all as read with Article 29 of the CC BiH.

The accused Nedžad Ćehić has been charged that, in the capacity of a member of the military police platoon of the 511^th Slavne brdske brigade (Glorious Mountain Brigade) of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina and an armed conflict between the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ARBiH) and the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS), in the territory of the Bosanska Krupa municipality, during an attack launched by the ARBiH against the VRS positions in the Kobiljnjak, Osmače and Ćojluk areas, Bosanska Krupa municipality, in the period between the second half of May 1995 and mid-July 1995, along with other members of the ARBiH, he captured at the referenced sites at least twenty five members of the VRS, of whom four VRS members were killed by fire arms directly after being captured and placed hors de combat, while the remaining twenty one VRS members were brought, imprisoned and kept in a military prison of the 511^th Slavne brdske brigade ARBiH; thereupon, in the summer of 1995, on three occasions, they took the captives outside in groups with the intent to deprive them of their lives, and ultimately killed them at three locations in the territory of the Bosanska Krupa municipality.
