On 26 June 2023 an Appellate Division Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Second-Instance Decision in the case of Šefkija Vila, whereby it granted the appeal filed by the accused Šefkija Vila, revoked the Judgment of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 20 March 2023, and ordered a trial before the Appellate Division Panel.

The First-Instance Judgment of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 20 March 2023, inter alia, found the accused Šefkija Vila guilty of the criminal offense of Tax Evasion or Fraud under Article 210(1) CC BiH as read with Article 31 of the Code, so the Court imposed on him a suspended sentence of 6 (six) months of imprisonment, not to be carried out unless the accused committed another criminal offense within 1 (one) year of the day when the judgment becomes final.

No appeal lies from this Judgment.
