Trial Judgment delivered in Igor Bušatlija case

Having held a guilty plea agreement consideration hearing and a sentencing hearing in the case of Igor Bušatlija (S1 2 K 048685 24 K), on 26 November 2024 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered and pronounced a Trial Judgment finding the accused Igor Bušatlija guilty that by the acts described in the operative part of the Judgment he committed the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(2) CC BiH, in conjunction with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) of the Code.

The Court sentenced the accused to three (3) years of imprisonment, with the time he spent in pre-trial custody being credited towards his prison sentence. The Court also fined him with 15,000.00 BAM, which the accused has already paid towards the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The ill-gotten gain in the amount of 3,000.00 BAM has been confiscated from the accused.

The accused Igor Bušatlija has been found guilty that between 2019 and 17 March 2022 he became a member of a group for organized crime, set up by D.G. and D.Đ. from Montenegro, which, for the purpose of obtaining ill-gotten gain, engaged in the illicit international transport and turnover of narcotic drugs, using the encrypted application SkyEcc for mutual communication.

Also, the accused Igor Bušatlija, together with other persons known to him, repeatedly engaged in the international purchase and sale of narcotic drugs, their transfer across the state border in violation of the relevant laws, stored and transported the drugs, and in other ways illicitly put the drugs into international circulation.
