On 18 November 2022 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered and pronounced a Trial Judgment in the case of Radovan Veljović (S1 1 K 041154 21 Kri), finding the accused Radovan Veljović guilty of the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)g) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as read with Article 180(1) CC BiH, and sentenced him to seven (7) years of imprisonment.

The accused was found guilty that between early April 1992 and late July 1992, in the framework of a widespread and systematic attack launched by military, paramilitary and police forces of the Serb Republic of BiH, subsequently Republika Srpska, which targeted the Bosniak civilian population of the Foča municipality, knowing of the attack and that his acts formed a part thereof, as a member of those forces he committed an act of rape by using threat and force.
