The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina /BiH/ will deliver a trial judgment in the case of Sabahudin Kajdić tomorrow, 19 January 2022. The judgment is scheduled to be delivered at 13:00 hours in courtroom 7.

Under the Indictment, the accused Sabahudin Kajdić is charged with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)(h) as read with sub-paragraphs (a), (i) and (k) of the Criminal Code of BiH, taken in conjunction with Article 29 and Article 180(1) thereof.

According to the Indictment, as part of a widespread and systematic attack by the army and police of the Serbian Republic of BiH (the Republika Srpska) directed against the non-Serb civilian population in the territory of Prijedor municipality, in the period between June 1992 and the end of August 1992, the accused Sabahudin Kajdić, with knowledge of that attack and that his acts constituted part thereof, in capacity as member of the 3rd Company of the 1st Battalion of the 43rd Prijedor Motorized Brigade of the Army of the Republika Srpska, in violation of rules of international humanitarian law, persecuted the civilian population on national and religious grounds by way of murders, enforced disappearance and other inhumane acts committed with the intent to cause great suffering or serious injury to body or to physical or mental health.
