Judgment pronounced in Almedin Kadić case

Having held a guilty plea agreement consideration hearing and a sentencing hearing in the case of Almedin Kadić, on 23 October 2023 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered and pronounced a Judgment, finding the accused Almedin Kadić guilty that in the manner described in the operative part of the Judgment he committed the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(2) of the Criminal Code of BiH (CC BiH) as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) of the Code.

The Court sentenced the accused to one (1) year of imprisonment, and confiscated the instrumentalities.

 

The accused was found guilty that between January 2020 and 10 May 2021 he was a member of a group for organized crime that operated in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, The Netherlands and France, with the aim of committing criminal offenses of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) of the CC BiH and Illicit Trafficking in Arms and Military Equipment and Products of Dual Use under Article 193(1) CC BiH.

 

No appeal lies from the criminal sanction, while the Judgment may be contested on other grounds by filing an appeal with the Appellate Division Panel of the Court of BiH within 15 (fifteen) days of the day when a written copy thereof was received.
