Having held a guilty plea agreement consideration hearing and a sentencing hearing in the case of Boban Janković (S1 2 K 046813 24 K), on 4 September 2024 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered and pronounced a Trial Judgment finding the accused Boban Janković guilty that by the acts described in the operative part of the Judgment he committed the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(1) CC BiH, as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) CC BiH.
The Court sentenced the accused to 1 (one) year of imprisonment, crediting the time the accused spent in pre-trial custody. The Court also fined the accused Janković with 6,000.00 BAM, which he must pay within 1 (one) month of the day when the Judgment becomes final.
The accused Boban Janković was found guilty that he became a member of a group for organized crime, together with the previously sentenced person Mevljudin Idrizović, also a member of the group for organized crime, which was set up with the aim of international purchase, sale, transfer, transport, keeping, mediation in further sale, import and export of narcotic drugs from Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is further said that, during a period from 9 November 2023 to 26 November 2023, after another member of a group for organized crime, Mevljudin Idrizović, had previously agreed a purchase/sale of narcotic drugs with persons known to him, the accused Boban Janković procured the narcotic drugs in Montenegro and transported the drugs from Montenegro to Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the total quantity of some 16 kilos, which, for the purpose of further sale, he handed over to Mevljudin Idrizović in the territory of Sarajevo, knowing full well that he was carrying out international transfer of narcotic drugs, whose trafficking is prohibited by law.
A previous judgment delivered by this Court on 20 August 2024 found the accused Mevljudin Idrizović guilty that by the foregoing actions, as a member of a group for organized crime, he committed the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(1) CC BiH, as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) CC BiH, sentenced him to 1 (one) year of imprisonment, and fined him with 20,000.00 BAM
