Having held a guilty plea agreement consideration hearing and a sentencing hearing in the case of Goran Stanković (S1 2 K 029161 25 K), on 2 June 2025 the Court issued and publicly announced a Judgment, finding the accused Goran Stanković guilty of the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(2) of the Criminal Code of BiH, as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) of the CCBiH.

The court sentenced the accused to a prison sentence of two years and eight months, towards which it credited the time spent in pre-trial custody and in extradition custody, from 30 October 2024 onwards.

The ill-gotten gain in the amount of EUR 27,800.00 is confiscated from the accused, which the accused is obliged to pay within six (6) months of the date of finality of the Judgment towards the budget of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the same time, the Court issued a decision by which the accused Goran Stanković, after the sentencing, was remanded in continued custody, initially ordered by the Court's earlier decision of 24 January 2025, which according to the Decision may last until the accused is committed to serve his prison sentence, or until a new decision of the Court, with the proviso that custody may not last longer than the imposed prison sentence.

The accused Goran Stanković was found guilty that, in the time period from mid-December 2009 to early May 2010, as a member of an group for organized crime, which group was organized by an unidentified person, and which group the accused Goran Stanković joined no later than mid-December 2009 and of which he was a member until May 2010, and which organized group was joined by other members known to him during the time of its operation, with the aim that the organizer and members of the group, by mutual liaison and collusion with other persons, organize, prepare and commit the criminal offense of Illegal Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs - marijuana, all for the purpose of obtaining ill-gotten gain, in such a way that they carried out unauthorized international trafficking in narcotic drugs - marijuana, procurement of narcotic drugs from Kosovo and Montenegro, and then their further distribution in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia.
