Having held a hearing to deliberate on a guilty plea agreement and a sentencing hearing in the case of Ognjen Muharemović and Slobodan Samardžija, on 6 July 2023, the Court of BiH delivered and publicly announced a judgment finding the accused Ognjen Muharemović and Slobodan Samardžija guilty of the criminal offenses of Organized Crime under Article 250(2) of the CC BiH, in connection with the criminal offenses of Aggravated Theft under Article 287(1) of the CC FBiH, Money Laundering under Article 209(1) of the CC BiH and Smuggling under Article 214(1) of the CC BiH.
The Court sentenced the accused Ognjen Muharemović to 1 (one) year in prison to which the time the accused spent in custody shall be credited, running from 2 August 2021 to 12 August 2021. In addition, the Court fined the accused in the amount of KM 7,000.00 (seven thousand convertible marks), which shall be paid by the accused within a period of 30 days after the finality of the judgment.
The Court sentenced the accused Slobodan Samardžija to 1 (one) year in prison, and fined him in the amount of KM 7,000.00 (seven thousand convertible marks), which shall be paid by the accused within a period of 30 days after the finality of the judgment.
In the same case, the Court issued a decision extending the restrictive measure-travel ban imposed on the two accused under Article 126(2) of the CPC BiH.
