On 30 January 2023 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina delivered and pronounced a judgment in the Petar Mitrović case, finding the accused Petar Mitrović guilty of the criminal offense of Accepting Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit under Article 217(2) CC BiH, and sentenced him to five (5) months of imprisonment.

The accused Petar Mitrović was found guilty that he accepted a gift in the amount of 20 EUR in the course of performing the duties and tasks of an authorized official person – BiH Border Police officer at the post of customs inspection of persons and vehicles exiting Bosnia and Herzegovina and entering Croatia.

The ill-gotten gain shall be confiscated from the accused, specifically the amount of 20 EUR (twenty euro).
