Having held a guilty plea agreement consideration hearing and a sentencing hearing in the Sabit Ćurovac case, on 27 April 2023 the Court delivered and pronounced a Judgment, finding the accused Sabit Ćurovac guilty that in the manner described in the operative part of the Judgment he committed the criminal offense of Accepting Reward or Other Forms of Benefit for Trading in Influence under Article 219(2) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Court imposed on the accused a suspended sentence of 5 (five) months of imprisonment, while ordering that the sentence should not be executed unless the accused commits another criminal offense within 1 (one) year and 6 (six) months of the day when the judgment becomes final.
The Court also fined the accused Sabit Ćurovac with 4,000.00 BAM (four thousand convertible marks), which the accused shall pay within 30 (thirty) days of the day when the judgment becomes final.
Sabit Ćurovac was found guilty that, in his capacity as an official person in the institutions of BiH, as a section leader at the BC Vardište, using his official position, he intervened that an official person in the institutions of BiH does not perform an official duty he/she was supposed to perform.
