Having held a hearing to entertain a Plea Agreement and a sentencing hearing in the case of Senad Samardžić (S1 2 K 036719 21 K), the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina /BiH/ rendered and announced in open session a Judgment on 23 June 2022, finding the accused Senad Samardžić guilty of the criminal offense of Receiving Reward or Other Forms of Benefit for Trading in Influence under Article 219 paragraph 3 as read with paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code /CC/ of BiH and sentencing the Accused to eight (8) months' imprisonment.

The accused Senad Samardžić has been found guilty because he interceded, by using his official, social position and position of influence, that an official person in the institutions of BiH perform an official action, demanding and receiving benefit for himself in the amount of 500 BAM. The benefit acquired has been confiscated.

Pursuant to Article 56 of the CC BiH, the time that the Accused spent in pre-trial custody from 14 September 2020 until 1 October 2020 shall be credited towards the imposed sentence of imprisonment.
