On 20 August 2021 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision repealing the Court’s Decision No. S1 2 K 013756 13 Ko dated 30 January 2017 in relation to the accused Darko Elez, so that the accused Darko Elez is ordered into custody on the grounds envisioned in Article 132(1), Subparagraphs a), b) and c), CPC BiH.

According to the Decision, custody may last for a maximum of 3 (three) years, which means until 19 August 2024 or pending a new decision of the Court.

Darko Elez has been charged with the criminal offense of Organized Crime as read with the criminal offense of Aggravated Murder; Organized Crime as read with the criminal offense of Conspiracy to Perpetrate Criminal Offenses in conjunction with the criminal offense of Aggravated Murder; the criminal offense of Organized Crime as read with the criminal offense of Money Laundering in concurrence with the criminal offense of Criminal Organization as read with the criminal offense of Robbery; the criminal offense of Criminal Organization as read with the criminal offense of Aggravated Murder.
