On 24 June 2023 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision repealing the Decision of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 19 April 2023 ordering custody of suspect Nedžad Ćehić.

The new Decision, on completed extradition procedure, ordered the suspect Nedžad Ćehić in custody, which, under the Decision, may last for a maximum of one month, running from the day of suspect’s arrest by the relevant authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. until 23 July 2023, or pending a different decision of the Court.

Custody was ordered on grounded suspicion that the suspect Nedžad Ćehić committed the criminal offense of War Crimes against Prisoners of War under Article 175(1)a) as read with Article 180(1) CC BiH, and on particular custody grounds referred to in Article 132(1)a) of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is the risk of flight.
