Suspect Nikola Koprivica ordered into custody

On 5 April 2022 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision to order custody of the suspect Nikola Koprivica, thus granting the Motion filed by the BiH Prosecutor's Office on 4 April 2022, received on 5 April 2022. Custody was ordered on the grounds set forth in Article 132(1)a) of Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, on the grounds of circumstances indicating a flight risk.

Nikola Koprivica is suspected of the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h) as read with Subparagraph a) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, all as read with Article 180(1) and Article 29 of the Code.

Under the Decision, custody may last for a maximum of one month, running from the day of arrest, meaning until 4 May 2022, or pending a new decision of the Court.
