Ruling on the Motion filed by the BiH Prosecutor's Office to order custody of the suspect Petar Dukić, on 3 December 2021 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision granting the Motion, and ordered custody in relation to the suspect Petar Dukić. According to the Decision, custody may last for a maximum of one month, running from the day of arrest, which means until 3 January 2022 or a new decision of the Court. Custody was ordered due the existence of special custody grounds set forth in Article 132(1), Subparagraphs a), b) and c), of the Criminal Procedure Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina, meaning the flight risk, concern that he may destroy, conceal, alter or forge evidence and clues important for the criminal proceeding, interfere with the witnesses, accomplices or accessories, and the concern that he may repeat the criminal offense or completed the attempted criminal offense.
Petar Dukić is suspected of the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(3) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH) as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) CC BiH.
