On 30 October 2024 the Appellate Division Panel of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina sent out an Appeals Judgment in the case of Mato Žarić et al., dismissing as ill-founded the appeal filed by the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and upheld the Trial Judgment of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 21 February 2024.
Pursuant to Article 284 c) of the CPC BiH, the Trial Judgment acquitted the accused Mato Žarić, Mila Bule, Aleksandar Šukalo, Zoran Manojlović and Drago Malešević of all charges, for it was not proven that by the acts described in the operative part of the Judgment they committed the criminal offense of Abuse of Office or Official Authority under Article 220(3) as read with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH) as read with Article 29 of the Code.
No appeal lies from the Appeals Judgment.
