The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed, on 8 September 2021, an indictment in the case of Dejan Ivaštanin and others charging the accused Dejan Ivaštanin that he committed the criminal offense of Accepting Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit under Article 217(1) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH), and the accused Ermin Bičakčić the criminal offense of Giving Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit under 218(1) of the CC BiH.

The Indictment alleges that the accused Dejan Ivaštanin, as an official person in the institutions of BiH, police officer of the Border Police BiH – control of passenger vehicles and busses, requested and received benefit for him (the amount of EUR 30), to perform within his office an act which should not be performed, while the accused Ermin Bičakčić gave a gift to an official person in the institutions of BiH in order that within his official authority he perform and act which he should not perform.
