On 16 January 2025 the Court confirmed an Indictment in the case of Dragoljub Gligić (S1 1 K 050693 24 Kro), charging the accused Dragoljub Gligić with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH).
The accused is charged that, between 27 and 30 July 1992, in his capacity as platoon commander at the Prijedor Public Security Station, together with other members of the military, police and Ljubija Crisis Staff, in the framework of a widespread and systematic attack against the civilian population fleeing persecution taking place in the municipality of Prijedor, he knowingly and willingly participated in, and significantly contributed to, the furtherance of a joint criminal enterprise of the Prijedor municipality civilian and military authorities. It is further said that the accused incited, aided and abetted, participated, and carried out the persecution of Bosniak civilians captured in the village of Miska Glava, Ljubija, Municipality of Prijedor, all on discriminatory grounds, and on ethnic, political and religious grounds, within which killings, torture, unlawful detention and arrests were committed, which ultimately resulted in at least 100 Bosniak civilian victims.
