On 6 January 2025 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed an Indictment in the case of Marko Drobnjak (S1 2 K 050704 24 Ko), charging the accused Marko Drobnjak with the criminal offense of Accepting Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit under Article 217(2) CC BiH.

According to the Indictment, on 1 January 2022, between 5:45 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., at the international border crossing of “Brod”, municipality of Brod, in his capacity as an official person in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as an officer of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina, performing the duties of a border police officer, the accused Marko Drobnjak requested and received benefit in the form of money for himself, in order to perform something he is anyway supposed to perform within his office.
