Indictment confirmed in Milan Vukmirović case

On 11 December 2024 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment in the case of Milan Vukmirović (S1 2 K 049297 24 Ko), which charges the accused Milan Vukmirović that by the acts committed in the Indictment he committed the criminal offense of Accepting Gifts and Other Forms of Benefit under Article 217(2) CC BiH.

According to the Indictment, on 10 August 2024, between 3:54 and 4:10 p.m., at the international border crossing of Donji Svilaj, between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia, in his capacity as an official person in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, performing the duties, at his workpost, as a customs officer at the RC Banja Luka Customs Affairs Department, BiH Indirect Taxation Authority, as an official person in the institutions of BiH, after holding foreign citizens who had entered BiH for a prolonged period of time without any grounds, the accused Milan Vukmirović demanded and accepted a monetary gift from them so as not to sanction them for the minor offense they did not even commit.
