Indictment confirmed in Mlađen Veljović case

On 14 February 2025 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed an Indictment in the case of Mlađen Veljović (S1 2 K 051183 25 Ko), charging the accused Mlađen Veljović that by the acts described in the Indictment he committed the criminal offenses as follows:

  • the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(2) CC BiH;
  • the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) as read with Articles 29 and 54 CC BiH;
  • under Counts 3 and 4 the criminal offense of Provoking General Danger under Article 323(1) CC FBiH and the criminal offense of Malicious Mischief under Article 293 CC FBiH, as read with Article 31 of the same Code, all in conjunction with Article 53 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

 

According to the Indictment, the accused Mlađen Veljović, together with Ellvis Kelmendi, Ajlin Ahmić, A.F., R.G., and other unidentified persons known to them, from August 2019 to March 2021, in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro and Albania, knowing that such actions of theirs were prohibited but nonetheless wanting to carry them out, with the aim of achieving ill-gotten gain, they carried out unauthorized procurement, trafficking, sale and transport of narcotic drugs, which they procured in the territory of Albania, Kosovo, Serbia and Montenegro, and resold them in the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina, while using remodeled mobile phones for mutual communication, with installed Sky Ecc applications, designed for establishing protected and encrypted communication.

 

The accused Mlađen Veljović is charged that, together with Ellvis Kelmendi, on 12 March 2020, in the territory of Sarajevo Canton, with the intent to instill fear and inflict damage on A.S.’s property, knowing they could put at risk human lives and property on a large scale, having received instructions from Ellvis Kelmendi on passenger motor vehicles, time and method in which to set the car on fire, the accused Mlađen Veljović, together with a person known to him, used open fire to set ablaze the flammable liquid he had previously pored over the passenger motor vehicle BMW X6, owned by A.S., by which he set the vehicle on fire, which then spread onto other motor vehicles, which caused large-scale danger to property and other vehicles parked there.
