Indictment confirmed in Rajko Milić et al.

On 10 January 2025 the Court confirmed an Indictment in the case of Rajko Milić et al. (S1 1 K 050690 24 Kro), charging the accused Rajko Milić, Miodrag Pavlović, Radenko Zarić, Vukašin Drašković and Milan Tomić with the criminal offense of Genocide under Article 171, Subparagraphs a) and b), of the CC BiH, as read with Articles 180(1) and 31 of the CC BiH.

The accused are, inter alia, charged that, during an armed, widespread and systematic attack carried out between 6 July 1995 and 1 November 1995 by the RS VRS and MUP, targeting the Bosniaks in the UN safe area of Srebrenica, knowing of the intent of principal perpetrators of a joint criminal enterprise (JCE) to exterminate an ethnic and religious group of Bosniaks, they knowingly and willingly provided assistance to them, and aided and abetted them in the organized killing of the male members of the Bosniak group that were detained in the sports hall in the neighborhood of Roćević, Municipality of Zvornik.

 

The accused Miodrag Pavlović is charged that, during the mentioned period, in front of the school in Roćević, using cold weapons, he killed an undetermined number of detainees, and the accused Radenko Zarić, Miodrag Pavlović, Vukašin Drašković and Milan Tomić that, together with persons known to them, they took part in the organized transfer of the captives from the mentioned school into the trucks by which they were then taken to the site of a gravel pit by the Drina River near the town of Kozluk, Municipality of Zvornik, so that the accused Rajko Milić, Radenko Zarić, Vukašin Drašković and Milan Tomić are charged that, at the given site, they took part in the execution of those prisoners, whose mortal remains were subsequently thrown into mass graves, only to be relocated to multiple secondary mass graves.
