Indictment in the case of Senad Gadžo et al. confirmed

On 12 January 2022, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina /BiH/ confirmed Indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH dated 31 December 2021, charging the accused Senad Gadžo, Zaim Laličić and Suljo Hebib with the criminal offense of War Crimes against the Civilian Population under Article 142(1) of the Criminal Code of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia /CC SFRY/, as read with Article 22 thereof.

According to the Indictment, the accused Senad Gadžo, Zaim Laličić and Suljo Hebib, during the war in BiH and the armed conflict between the Army of the Republic of BiH and the Army of the Serbian Republic of BiH, acted in violation of rules of international humanitarian law, as members of the Army of the Republic of BiH, as guards in military detention facility of the Military Unit 5063 of the 1st Corps of the Army of the Republic of BiH, in prisons that served as military detention facility of the Military Unit 5063 of the 1st Corps of the Army of the Republic of BiH and accommodated on the premises of the Aleksa Šantić Elementary School, prison premises in garages at Igmanskih partizanskih bataljona Street No. 11 and on the basement of an uncompleted apartment building in the territory of neighborhood of Hrasnica, municipality of Ilidža, where civilians of Serbian ethnicity were detained, held in inhumane conditions and subjected to killings, intentional infliction of great suffering and violation of bodily integrity and health.
