On 24 December 2024 a panel of the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH delivered an Appeals Judgment in the case of Miroslav Marković, dismissing as ill-founded the appeal filed by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the appeal filed by defense counsel for the accused Miroslav Marković, and upheld the Trial Judgment of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 9 October 2023.

The Trial Judgment of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina dated 9 October 2023 found the accused Miroslav Marković guilty that by the acts described in the operative part of the Judgment he committed the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)h), as read with Subparagraph a), all in conjunction with Articles 180(1) and 29 of the Criminal Code of BiH. The Court sentenced the accused to 13 (thirteen) years of imprisonment.
