Suspect Nenad Nešić remanded in continued custody

Ruling on the Prosecutor’s Continued Custody Motion in the case of Esad Avdić et al., on 20 March 2025 the Court of BiH issued a Decision partly granting the Motion, and remanded the suspect Nenad Nešić in continued custody during the next two (2) months, i.e. until 20 May 2025 or until the Court issues a new decision, on the specific ground of custody referred to in Article 132(1)b) CPC BiH.

On 19 March 2025 the Prosecutor's Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina filed a Motion to remand the suspect Nenad Nešić in continued custody, which was supposed to last during the next 3 (three) months, on the custody ground referred to in Article 132(1)b) CPC BiH.

 

The suspects in the case of Esad Avdić et al. are charged with the criminal offenses of Associating for the Purpose of Perpetrating Criminal Offences under Article 249 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH), Money Laundering under Article 209 CC BiH, Abuse of Office or Official Authority under Article 315 of the Criminal Code of Republika Srpska (CC RS), Abuse of Office or Official Authority under Article 383 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC FBiH), and Accepting Bribe under Article 319 CC RS.

 

An appeal from the Decision shall not stay its execution.

 

The appeal from the Decision may be filed with the Appellate Division Panel of the Court within 3 (three) days of the day when the Decision is received.
