Since there has been information in the media about the new procedural steps taken in the case of Milorad Dodik and others, charged with the criminal offense of Attack on Constitutional Order under Article 156 CC BiH, mindful of the public interest, the Court hereby issues a press release as follows.
On 26 March 2025, the Court of BiH received a Motion, filed by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, to have an international warrant issued against the suspects Milorad Dodik and Nenad Stevandić. In the well-founded Motion, which was granted, the Prosecutor’s Office said that the grounds for issuing the warrant were the steps obviously taken by the suspects Dodik and Stevandić, when they crossed the state border and left Bosnia and Herzegovina using their senior positions in the Entity of Republika Srpska, evading the border check procedures prescribed by the law.
It is well known that suspect Dodik is currently in Israel, while suspect Stevandić, avoiding the border checks prescribed by the law, has even returned to BiH on 18 March 2025, which all points to the probability that they can at any given point be abroad, which constitutes grounds to act in line with Article 446(2) CPC BiH and issue an order to put out an international warrant, which the Court has issued.
The Court notes that issuing the warrant falls within the competence of the NCB Interpol.
