On 14 February 2007, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) rendered a decision terminating custody for Radmilo Vuković, who is charged with War crimes against civilians. While carrying out a regular review of justification of custody, the Trial Panel concluded that circumstances on the basis of which custody was ordered have changed, and found that reasons for extension of custody have ceased to exist. The Trial Panel concluded that custody is no longer necessary for the security of public and property.

On 16 October 2006, the Court extended custody for the Accused to last up to one year.  The Court extended custody having found that a penalty of 10 years imprisonment or more can be imposed for the above criminal offence, and further having concluded that an extension of custody is neccessary in the interest of security of the public and property.

The indictment inter alia alleges that on 10 June 1992, the Accused captured a woman from an apartment in the Foča municipality, and took her to another apartment.  In the second apartment, the Accused allegedly physically abused the victim by beating her, threatening to kill her, placing a pistol against her temple and holding a knife to her throat.  The Accused then allegedly tore the victim’s clothes to pieces and punched her in the head, causing her to faint.  The Accused then allegedly used the victim’s unconsciousness to rape her.
