Faruk Hasanović pleaded not guilty

At today’s hearing before a Preliminary Hearing Judge of Section II for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption, Faruk Hasanović, who is charged with Tax evasion, pleaded not guilty.

The indictment alleges that between 24 May and 15 December 2006, using single customs documents, Faruk Hasanović, owner and founder of Reflex d.o.o. Mostar, imported goods in the value of KM 1,686,883.00 subsequently selling it to buyers known to him.  The indictment further alleges that the Accused submitted six tax entries to Indirect Taxation Authority – Regional Centre Mostar for the period between 1 June and 30 November 2006 containing false information.  In this way, Faruk Hasanović allegedly avoided paying KM 163,797.01 as value added tax.
