Commencement of the trial in the case of Zoran Janković, who is charged with Crimes against humanity, has been scheduled for 26 March 2007, starting at 11.00am in courtroom 7.

The indictment inter alia alleges that on 29 April 1992, together with another individual and members of paramilitary formations, the Accused captured a group of Bosniak civilians who had been hiding in the forest in the area of the Snagovo village in the Zvornik Municipality.  After capturing the group, the Accused and his accomplices allegedly took them to an area known as Rašidov Han in Snagovo where, by shooting from automatic riffles, they killed 36 and wounded three of them.  On the same day, the perpetrators allegedly burned the bodies of the murdered victims in order to cover up the crime.
