Today, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) accepted a plea agreement between Faruk Hasanović and the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH, and handed down a verdict finding the Accused guilty of Tax evasion. The Accused received a suspended imprisonment sentence of 11 months with a probation period of three years starting from the day the verdict becomes final. This case was being processed before Section II for Organised Crime, Economic Crime, and Corruption of the Court.

In the period between 24 May and 15 December 2006, as the founder and owner of Reflex d.o.o. Company, Faruk Hasanović avoided value added taxes in the total amount of KM 163,797.01 in the importation of manufactured textile goods.

Today, the Court also terminated custody for the Accused.  The time he has spent in custody from 14 December 2006 will count towards the sentence.
