Verdict to be handed down in the case of Radmilo Vuković

Pronouncement of the Trial Panel’s verdict in the case of Radmilo Vuković has been scheduled for Monday, 16 April 2007 in courtroom 4, starting at 11.00am. The Accused is charged with War crimes against civilians.

The indictment alleges that in June 1992, as a member of the military forces of the so called Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Accused acted contrary to the rules of International Humanitarian Law and committed breaches of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.  According to the indictment, the Accused physically abused a female person, threatening her life, and took advantage of her unconsciousness to rape her several times.

The trial in this case commenced on 19 January 2007.
