Accused in the case v. Ivan Zelenika enter a not guilty plea

At plea hearing in the case v. Ivan Zelenika et al. before the Section I for War Crimes of the Court of BiH, the Accused Ivan Zelenika, Srećko Herceg, Ivan Medić and Marina Grubišić-Fejzić entered a not guilty plea.

 

A plea hearing in relation to the Accused Edib Buljubašić will be held subsequently.  

 

On 13 March 2012, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment in the case v. Ivan Zelenika et al. under which the Accused Ivan Zelenika, Srećko Herceg, Edib Buljubašić, Ivan Medić and Marina Grubišić-Fejzić are charged with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity.

The Indictment alleges, among other things, that in the period from May to August 1992, Ivan Zelenika, in the capacity as a senior officer at Croatian Defense Forces (HOS) Headquarters, Srećko Herceg, in the capacity as a commander of Bruno Bušić Military Prison Dretelj, Edib Buljubašić, in the capacity as a HOS member and Deputy Commander of the Bruno Bušić HOS barracks Dretelj, and Ivan Medić and Marina Grubišić-Fejzić, in the capacity as HOS members and guards in the Military Prison Dretelj, together with other persons, committed the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity  against Serb victims incarcerated in the Dretelj camp.
