On 16 January 2024 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment in the case of Mirza Kapić (S1 2 K 046188 24 Ko), charging the accused Mirza Kapić with the criminal offense of Terrorism under Article 201(1) as read with Paragraphs 4 and 5(i) CC BiH.

The accused is charged that in July 2023, with the aim of subjecting the population to serious intimidation and destabilization of the society, together with persons known to him, using internet applications on his mobile phone, arranged and planned an attack on the “Bosna” Mosque in the town of Zenica.

The plan was to use an explosive device made of TNT and mercury explosive, with the aim of punishing the scholars and members of the Islamic Community in BiH who have been issuing fatwas against the terrorist organization of ‘ISIS’, and those members of the Islamic Community in BiH who have been reporting members of the extremist organizations to the BiH law enforcement agencies.
