The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed Indictment in the case of Radovan Veljović on 29 September 2021, charging the accused Radovan Veljović with the criminal offense of Crimes against Humanity under Article 172(1)(g) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina /CC BiH/, as read with Article 180(1) of the CC BiH.

According to the Indictment, in the period from the beginning of April 1992 until the end of July 1992 within which military, paramilitary and police forces of the so-called Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (later the Republika Srpska) were carrying out a widespread and systematic attack against the Bosniak civilian population of Foča Municipality, the accused Radovan Veljović, with knowledge of that attack and that his acts constituted part thereof, as member of the Army of the so-called Serbian Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (later the Republika Srpska), raped a female civilian by use of force and threat.
