On 13 December 2023 the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued a Decision in the case of Mladen Samardžija (S1 2 K 046050 23 Krn 2), remanding the suspect Mladen Samardžija in custody, following his arrest. Under the Decision, his custody may last for a maximum of one month, i.e. until 11 January 2024, or until the Court issues a new decision, on specific custody grounds set forth in Article 132(1), Subparagraphs a), b) and c), of the CPC BiH.

The suspects are charged with the criminal offense of Organized Crime under Article 250(3) CC BiH, as read with the criminal offense of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs under Article 195(1) CC BiH, the criminal offense of Money Laundering under Article 209(3), as read with Paragraph 1, of the CC BiH, and the criminal offense of Obstruction of Justice under Article 241(2) CC BiH.
