On Tuesday 31 October 2006, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina will hand down the first instance verdict in the case of Leonard Dushi and Another, which is being processed before Section II for Organized crime, Economic crime and Corruption. The verdict hearing will take place in courtroom 4 at 1:00 pm.

The indictment, which the Court confirmed on 31 March 2006, charges Leonard Dushi with the following criminal offenses:

• Organized crime, pursuant to article 250 of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH), in connection with the criminal offense of Smuggling of persons pursuant to article 189 of the CC BiH
• Forgery of documents pursuant to article 373 of the Criminal Code of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC FBiH)
• Extended criminal offense of aggravated theft pursuant to article 287 of CC FBiH.

These offences were allegedly committed between 19 November 2004 and 27 September 2005.

The indictment charges the second accused, Eljmi Iseni, with the criminal offense of Smuggling of persons pursuant to article 189 of CC BiH, in connection with article 31 of CC BiH (accessory).

The trial panel held a total of 11 hearings in the course of the main trial.
