Plea hearing scheduled in the Radmilo Vuković case

A plea hearing has been scheduled in the case of Radmilo Vuković for 31 October 2006, starting at 1.00pm in courtroom 3. The accused is charged with the criminal offence of War crimes against civilians. This case is being processed before Section I for War Crimes of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The indictment alleges that in June 1992, as a member of the military forces of the so- called Serb Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the accused acted contrary to the rules of International Humanitarian Law and committed breaches of the Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.  It is further alleged that the accused physically abused a female person, threatening her life, and took advantage of her unconsciousness to rape her several times.
