Plea Hearing in the case of Edhem Godinjak et al.

A plea hearing in the case of Edhem Godinjak et al. before Section I for War Crimes of the Court of BiH is schedulled for 24 July 2014 at 10 a.m. in courtroom 7.

 

The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed on 16 June 2014 the Indictment under which the Accused: Edhem Godinjak, Medaris Šarić and Mirko Bunoza are charged with the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians and War Crimes against Prisoners of War.

 

The Indictment alleges, among other things, that Edhem Godinjak, as Chief of Trnovo Public Security Station, Medaris Šarić, as Commander of Trnovo Territorial  Defense Staff and Mirko Bunoza, as commander of HV – HOS units,  knowingly and willingly participated in joint criminal enterprise with the common goal of multiple killings of Serb civilians in the villages of Trnovo municipality, unlawful deprivation of liberty and incarceration in prison facilities established in the municipality of Trnovo  and burning their property,  as well as of deprivation of life and inhuman treatment of captured members of the Army of Republika Srpska  who were incarcerated in the prison facilities established in the territory of Trnovo municipality.
